It is not just about the race but it is a whole entertainment event.
This year there was no "F1 Rocks" concerts but the organisers arranged for concerts to be held over 3 days within the track before and after the race so it was a case of "one-ticket-sees-all". So you had the likes of Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott , Adam Lambert, Sean Kingston, Daughtry, Chippendales etc to choose from.
For us, it is also a social event to meet old friends at the track.
The race this year was nonetheless exciting with plenty of incident and with Ferrari's Alonso winning, we were not too disappointed as red Bull's Vettel and Webber came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Plenty of incident too with the Lotus car catching fire,an ill-tempered Hamilton throwing his steering wheel away in disgust after crashing out.
